Is it kind? Is it true? Is it timely? Is it necessary? Life is so much more pleasant when I remember to ask myself these four questions before speaking.
I should have written that I'd rather have truth in love over pleasantries. Pleasantries don't deepen, strengthen, challenge, love, or encourage relationships or people. I really want a genuine relationship.
