Holi-Daze

1. It's two O'clock, and I'm just now getting dressed for the day, not because I'm lazy....because I'm busy.
2. While our daughters are vacating, I'm taking care of their pets, two parakeets and a dog.
3. Walking two dogs at once is harder than it looks.
4. If one dog barks, they both do.
5. Doggie time out is a good thing.....for me.
6. The Christmas tree is long gone, but the ornaments are still sitting in a pile on the coffee table.
7. How many dishes can be made with all of this leftover turkey? Between turkey sandwiches, turkey soup, turkey pot pie, and turkey tetrazzini, I'm running out of ideas.
8. Perhaps the actual question should be, why do I always buy such a big turkey?
9. Who decided to put air bubbles in chocolate? All that means is there's less room for actual chocolate.
10. There has to be something else. Why can't I think of it?
11. (This one goes to eleven.) I'm blaming lack of concentration on excessive amounts of turkey, barking dogs, and air bubbles in chocolate.

1. It's 9:15am and I'm dressed - not because I'm organised or rested or ready for my day - but because I'm working from home and I think that works best out of pyjamas.
2. So far I haven't started working.
3. Our weather is building up to be the warmest NYE in 100 years, they say 105 degrees F (converted especially for you)
4. The rest of the house is asleep (as they're still on holidays) but not for long if the dog's barking has anything to do with it.
5. This one only goes up to five.

Have a Happy, Safe, New Year Sarah Hazel!

Your Uncle Bud always loved to make turkey salad out of the leftover turkey. I remember getting out the old meat grinder that screwed on to the table, and grinding it all up. He would let me drop the turkey in, and later help stir everything together. Boy, those were the good old days.

Betsy - Want to send me Uncle Bud's recipe?

Michelle - Thank you for converting especially for me. 105F is HOT. That's what our summer was like here in Texas last season, with no rain. My recommendation? Don't wear very many clothes. :)

My new #12. I'm ready for a glass of wine.

Keep being your wonderful self, Michelle Park, and happy new year to you, too!
